Golf course superintendents and managers of playing fields and other parks have one major objective – turf health.  Golf course superintendents especially must deal with the complexities of fairways, tee boxes, and greens with their unique characteristics and challenges.  Although well-conditioned greens require intensive management, fairways can also be problematic where compacted clay soils can present drainage problems. 

Poor drainage also complicates conditions of sodic soils, especially in the regions where many courses must irrigate with effluent water, often high in bicarbonate and sodium levels.

CrossOver Turf is appropriate for such conditions, but CrossOver G for Turf, specially formulated CrossOver with gypsum, is an ideal solution.  The gypsum in the CrossOver G formulation improves water infiltration rates in soils by preventing swelling clays and crusting.

What is CrossOver G?  It is a highly refined, gypsum enhanced, calcium and magnesium silicate product in pelletized form. Its benefits include correcting chemical imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, structural instability and toxic conditions associated with salt-affected soils.

Where sodic soils are a problem, the gypsum facilitates the leaching of sodium from the soil profile.   That can be especially beneficial in many western regions where sodic soils are common and are becoming a greater problem each year.
